Reading doesn't have to be a solitary activity. Connect with other readers and discover new books.
Following Readers
Find Readers to Follow
You can discover other readers by:
- Viewing who else has read a book you like
- Browsing the leaderboard
Follow/Unfollow
On any user's profile page, click the Follow button to follow them. Click again to unfollow.
When you follow someone, they're included in your weekly digest email (if enabled in Settings).
User Profiles
Each user has a public profile showing:
- Books they've read (by status)
- Public lists they've created
- Followers and following counts
The yearly reading chart is only visible to the profile owner.
Your Profile
Visit your own profile to see:
- All your books organized by status
- Your completion history (last 3 years)
- Your favorite books
Weekly Digest
Get a weekly email summarizing what people you follow have been reading.
Enable the Digest
- Go to Settings from the dropdown menu
- Check Weekly follow digest
- Save your settings
The digest is sent every Friday and includes:
- Books completed by people you follow in the past week
- A summary of reading activity
Tip
The digest is a great way to discover new books through people whose taste you trust.
Community Leaderboard
The homepage shows the top 10 readers by number of books completed this year. It's a fun way to see active readers and get motivated!
Privacy
- Your reading activity is public by default
- You control which lists are public or private
- You can't see who follows you (only the count)
